
Dean Leads Strategic Engagement Visits to Nizwa Hospital and GCC Medical Colleges
The Dean, accompanied by Professor Tanira, will visit Nizwa Hospital to discuss and strengthen future clinical training opportunities for medical students. The visit will also provide an opportunity to engage with hospital leadership regarding the planned development of the Academic Support Block and the Female Students’ Accommodation facilities, both of which are intended to enhance the educational environment and support student learning and well-being.
This visit reflects the shared commitment of Dhofar University and Ministry of Health represented by Nizwa Hospital to advancing medical education, fostering academic collaboration, and ensuring high-quality clinical training experiences for future healthcare professionals.
In addition, the delegation will undertake a series of coordinated visits to leading Colleges of Medicine across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The purpose of these visits is to engage with academic leaders, explore opportunities for strategic collaboration, and exchange experiences in medical education, research, and clinical training.
The delegation will also share information about the College of Medicine at Dhofar University, including its vision, academic programs, and future development plans. These visits reflect the College’s commitment to fostering regional partnerships, promoting academic excellence, and strengthening its engagement with leading medical education institutions across the GCC.
