Visit to Dubai Medical University and Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU).

A delegation from the College of Medicine at Dhofar University had a highly successful visit to Dubai Medical University (DMU), the first established College of Medicine in the United Arab Emirates. During this visit, the delegation gained valuable insights into DMU’s diverse educational programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and sophisticated academic support systems. Of particular interest was DMU’s renowned AI Research Center, which represents innovation in medical education. The delegation engaged in substantive discussions on curriculum, pedagogical approaches, and use of clinical simulation. Most significantly, the delegation explored how to benefit from DMU’s extensive experience and proven expertise in developing and delivering comprehensive health sciences programs.

The delegation’s visit to Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) proved equally enriching. The comprehensive campus tour revealed extensive infrastructure renewal and strategic additions designed to enhance the educational process. RAKMHSU is undergoing transformative changes in both physical infrastructure and supportive technology systems, which provided valuable insights into future institutional directions and long-term vision. The delegation held substantive meetings with RAKMHSU’s President to discuss and identify potential areas of meaningful collaboration, including faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and shared academic cooperation.
